This 8.2MW wind farm is located in the grounds of Wessex Water’s waste water treatment plant adjacent to one of Europe’s largest dock areas with uninterrupted winds and great transport links. Since the site became operational in 2013, we’ve hosted five open days, welcoming over 1,700 people to come and see the turbines up close. As well as multiple open days, we’ve hosted six educational visits for students from primary schools all the way up to masters degree level.

In 2024, we hosted a green careers insight day on site for a group of young people from Babbasa, a social enterprise that inspires and supports under-represented young people to pursue their ambitions.
